This is our final CD design for the digipack. We made it in Adobe Illustrator and linked it both to our other aspects of the Digipack and our research. Below is a break down of a few features we created on the CD.
This is a illistration we made on the CD itself to balance out the decoration between the top and bottom halves of the CD. We made it by getting two 'P' in the same font as 'Birdy' on the top half. We then flipped one so it was a reflection on the vertical edge. We then carefully lined them up to created this elegant pattern to put on our CD.
This is the artist's name. We used a much more decorative font to show the difference between the artists name and the song title. We choose to underline it after revisiting our research on the Mumford & Son's disc which also has this feature.

To combat this problem, we then imported it into Adobe Photoshop so that we could manually change the line and make it stop either side of the 'y'.

This image shows two of the features of our disc.
Firstly, we can see the gradient fill we used the whole way around the outside of the disc. We did this for two reasons.
We wanted the disc to link to the other aspects of the auxiliary tasks and since we have a gradient fill on our poster it fitted in nicely. Additionally we used a gradient fill because it symbolises the effect of golden hour photography, which in turn links to our music video and other auxiliary tasks.
Secondly, we can see from this image that we have made our copyright declaration run the whole way around the disc like our research suggested. This is a professtional finishing touches that exaggerates and compliments the gradiant fill due to the white of the text.
Other important aspects to mention are features such as the colour scheme. We spent a lot of time thinking about the colour scheme as it could completely change the final appearance of the digi-pak. We chose the colour white and brown as both compliment one another and relates back to the effect of the light in our music video. Both colours also relate to the poster as well as the idea of our lead being an 'earth goddess' with the browns and golden colours.
