Evaluation 2: How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary task?

To ensure both the ancillary task and the music video was effective as a combined product we decided as a group to ensure our continuity and themes were consistent throughout both separate products by creating a brand identity. The ensured this was created with the use of colours, fonts and our mis-en-scene which was evident in the music video, poster and digi-pak. We researched heavily into this concept with reference to other combined products such as the Ellie Goulding album, poster and video which also inspired our own poster.
The Ellie Goulding research, and other research we also looked closely at, had used the same font continuously throughout both the poster and the digi-pak. The research also used the same image for the front cover of the album and then again for the poster to ensure both corresponded. Light flares were also used in the images which were also used in the music video. Having this certain link between all three products was something we too wanted to achieve and believe this was successful due to this brand identity.

This suggests the extent and detail in which the main and ancillary task are effectively combined.
